Metronidazole

Hello I have had about 6 different cases so far of BV in my first trimester. It's been a pain in the butt and the doctor has prescribed me metronidazole (flagyl) pill for all cases. I got BV from 5 weeks till 14 weeks and am now worried that by taking this pill it will hurt baby. I trust my doctor but have been doing a little more research and it says to not take it during first tri. It's too late now but will this have any affect on my baby?
