Worried about baby movements? Don't be!

A lot of the posts I see on here are soon-to-be mamas worried about how much their baby is moving because they felt some flutters and now they don't - don't be worried!!
The APA says kick counts should start around 28 weeks, and most, if not all, July babies don't even weigh a pound yet. At my job, the ultrasound tech I work with told me to imagine a little 12oz baby floating around in a water balloon (remember there's a lot of fluid in there!), you're not going to feel a lot right now! Especially if you are having a good pregnancy and your uterus is filling with a lot of amniotic fluid to protect baby! That's okay! You will feel consistent movements soon, baby just has to get big and strong first. 😉
