I'm not a parent but I'm 99.9% sure there are much better ways to disciple your child other than public humiliation. It tells me a lot about his parents.

I've actually seen this in action before, in Florida. Everyone has a parenting style, and sometimes public humiliation is the only way to show a kid 'hey, you're being a dick. Stop that.'

I'm a mother of three. I think public humiliation is a desperate attempt from a lost parent. I hate it. Especially when these things are posted online! These kids will grow up and apply for jobs someday and the things we post don't disappear. There are better ways to discipline. Humiliation and/or fear are not options in my house

I want to see later if any studies come out on how public humiliation in children as punishment may affect a child psychologically. I really don't see how it's healthy or even a good way to punish a child. But I guess it's up to them, I wouldn't say it's necessarily bad parenting, but not something I would ever do.
