ovulation

Do you start having cervical mucas before ovulation? I've been using an opk it's gotten darker today but isn't as dark as the test line, as I've noticed more cervical mucas and my bbt dropped .06. My stomach is cramping really bad (I've take clomid this cycle) does that mean I'm about to ovulate? Please help me I'm just trying to understand my body and have a rainbow baby!
