Elevated glucose?

Question

Anyone have an elevated one hour glucose and not end up with gestational diabetes? I have my three hour glucose test on Monday and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it goes fine.

I failed my 1 hr test so had to do the 3 hour one. Passed that one with flying colors. I guess the first test was just inaccurate.

I did! But the 3hr came back fine--no diabetes. Worst case scenario if you do have gestational diabetes your doctor will help you through it and you'll just have to closely monitor what you eat. My cousin and I are pregnant right now at the same time and she has it but baby and her are doing great! Normally it goes away after the baby is born too.

Failed the 1hr test got super worried and stressed about it but I just had the 3hr test on Tuesday and passed it. :) don't stress about it the lab technician said that I might have failed the first because I hadn't eaten at all the day I took the 1hr test. Although they don't want you to eat an he prior to taking the 1hr test she said not eating at all in the morning might have made my body's sugar to elevate. I'm not sure if this is what happened but trust me just relax and wait for the results. Best of luck!

I failed the one hour and passed the three hour. My advice to folks is not to schedule much for after the three hour. I underestimated the effect it would have on my body. But it was rough and I went right to work. Big mistake!! Take care of yourselves ladies!

I failed my 1 hour with a glucose of 151. I actually took my 3 hour today. The concentration of glucose is higher for the 3 hour so be prepared, and they draw your blood 4 times. The first 30 minutes after i took it, i felt incredibly nauseous and wanted to vomit, oh god had a headache too. They let me lay down for the rest of the time. Good luck, i hope i pass too!

I failed my one- hour. I ate lunch before I had it done. My ob told me to eat normal so I did - a piece of pizza and a soda (I know it's bad but a girl has cravings!) I went back for the three hour and was completely normal. I honestly think they should tell you not to eat anything the two or three hours before your one hour otherwise whatever you just ate will show up. Don't stress too much. Take a walk every day leading up to the test, watch sugars and simple carbs. My ob said if I failed the three hour that's what she would have me do anyway. Good luck!

I majorly failed my 1 hr with 179. Then passed my 3 hr and even had low blood sugar with that one. Have a snack ready for afterwards I had a hard sugar crash after the 3 hrs.

My hospital has stopped doing the one he one because it's not as reliable. I took the one hour test because I booked through a gp instead of the hospital and that came back positive so I have to do the three hour one in a few days. Really hope it comes back low
