You could have been giving her sponge baths up until the scab falls off. When they have the scab and the naval is healing you don't want to submerge them in water. But a sponge bath would've been ok. Her naval looks ok to me but I'm not there to really see it and I'm not a doctor. If you get water on it just ensure you dry it well. 

We did! Just dry it out by dabbing it really gently with a qtip after. It might bleed a little after for a few minutes since the scab will soften but it'll close up and heal after.
