paragard iud- bleeding less than expected?

Hi I just got the Paragard IUD about a week ago and I'm supposed to get my period this week- I wasn't spotting at all except for the betadine coming out from when they cleaned my cervix. I had some spotting on Wed and what seemed like my period starting on Thursday but I haven't bled through everything yet so I'm freaking out! I know it's supposed to be heavier but so far it hasn't been so I'm afraid of it getting much much worse... can someone ease my worries haha
