Rhett Matthew Plouff, 38 weeks exactly

After 4 days of slowly progressing from a 2cm to a 5cm, we finally got admitted to the hospital early Friday morning.

The epidural machine broke 10 minutes into pushing and I felt everything. 4 hours of pushing later I was screaming for a c-section. Instead they gave me and episiotomy and sucked baby out with a vacuume. Even with the episiotomy, I had 3rd degree tearing.

I'm having a hard time coping right now. I want to be able to care for my child but I can't get up without help. My husband is so absorbed in being a dad, I'm feeling really alone in this recovery.

Here's Rhett Matthew, born 3/3/2017 at 38 weeks. 7 pounds on the dot and 20.5 inches. I love him beyond words. Hopefully I'll heal quickly so I can be the mom he deserves.
