Anyone having trouble with their LO holding still for diaper changes?

Question

While I am very happy that my daughter is developing ahead of schedule, it's making it very hard to change her diaper. I have cerebral palsy so I do things at a slower speed than most. It doesn't take me that long to change a diaper, but too long for an active 7 month old. Any suggestions as to how I can have her stay still?

Our changing table has clip straps and yesterday was the first day I had to clip him in lol. I usually have to give him something to hold or flip his onesie over his hands so he doesn't try to grab his junk or diaper 😂

Today my genuis daughter made a idea to get a coke bottle and put beads inside for my 7 month daughter to play with while i change her diaper. It is working really well!

It's definitely a challenge! I actually feel like I'm knackered and just ran a marathon trying to change my 7 month old, she's into absoloutly everything.. can't put anything down without her trying to reach it haha! Good luck hope you find something that might help. I usually put a toy in her hands.. maybe try that if you haven't?! Sometimes it works but some times it doesn't 😋 x

Us too ! I have had to move her to the floor now for all diaper changes she can flip over even with the belt clips on her diaper pad. I bought a diaper change thing that's like a box but at soft to put on the floor going to try it today

We set Liliana's twilight turtle next to her and set the lights on rotation. That distracts her so we can change her without all the wiggles.

No hope in getting her to stay still at this stage i am afraid. What I do is I always have something there to put in his had to distract him. The Bum cream tube works surprisingly well! A small toy or bottle. Something she can hold over her face so it needs to be small and light enough. Maybe try pull up nappies? My LO loves standing, i might move to pull ups soon
