I've offered them to both my kids and neither cared to use them and I don't know if it's because I breastfed and on demand? But I'll do the same with this baby as well. I'll offer the pacifier and if he wants it and uses it, that's fine and if he doesn't that's even better in my opinion lol

All my babies had them from day one. I exclusively breastfed them all with zero issues. I'm not a believer in self soothing with hands or fingers so this was the way to go!

Only one of my children had a binky. That was recommended by her pediatric gastroenterologist due to her severe gastroesophageal reflux disease.

The hospital we are delivering at doesn't offer them. We don't want to offer it at home either.

Id avoid it of possible. I just got back from the dentist with my 2 yr old. He just turned 2 in jan and his teeth are already getting messed up from it. Hes only used it at night for the past year.

I used them with my daughter but she never actually suckled them she would hold it in her mouth and eventually spit it out. I would constantly have to rinse it off and pop it back in  until eventually (4-6months of age) I said forget it. People would always ask why she didn't have one but I didn't think it was necessary. She never developed thumb or finger sucking like people assumed she would, but she did go throw that stage where she always had her fingers in her mouth(gross considering the germs, but normal). This time if immediately I notice bebe doesn't want it I won't force it.
