Can POC be prejudiced to other POC, or even to their own color?

Stolen sort of from Starrlight. But do you think just because someone is black, or Asian etc, that they can't be prejudiced to other people of color? Or do you think someone can or cannot be prejudiced against their own ethnicity/color? I see a lot of people on here say things like "I'm Mexican!" When they get called out for being racist against blacks people as if they can't be prejudiced or hateful simply because they aren't white. Or people will assume that blacks can't hate their own ethnicity. My father was born and raised in Kenya and moved here to America during his college years and he HATES American blacks. Anyways, thoughts?

Of course POC can be prejudice. Anyone can. It's the ding dongs who say we can be racist who are wrong. With that being said I live in Detroit where we have the largest Middle Eastern population in the U.S. Unfortunately MANY of them are extremely prejudice against black people. I've formed relationships with people who have explained that they are often warned not to trust or respect black people while coming over here. They own many businesses in the inner city and treat their customers disrespectfully. I often remind people who act ignorant that many of us are in the same boat and should be allies and not haters 😉⛵️

Of course. I actually just encountered a self hating Mexican here on eve! It's unfortuante, one would think that being of color themselves, they would know how they're not different from white people. I've said it before and I'll always think it's a form of inferiority complex.

Absolutely. I've seen a lot of non-Black PoC  participate in anti-blackness as a way of making themselves feel superior. It's one of the reasons I no longer refer to myself as a PoC. I'm Black. I'm not here for the fake solidarity.

Any POC of color can be prejudiced to any race/ethnicity and their own. Being a POC doesn't exclude them from engaging in prejudices or discrimination. It's just they can't be racist.

absolutely, lateral racism/discrimination exists and most cultures are antiblack as fuck. poc can definitely contribute to the oppression of their own or other poc. but no poc can be racist towards whites

Absolutely. My best friend is black and I'm white/NA and she always refers to other black ppl as thugs and "bad blacks" who taint "the rest". She grew up with a white family who always told her racist things and I think she genuinely doesn't see herself as black bc she doesn't fit their racist def of what black is. 
She doesn't think racism is real in any form, either. She also hates Mexicans and says the typical stuff about them like "go back to your country" "you're stealing our jobs" etc.

My father in law, who is Mexican, hates black people. Like, ive literally never been in the presence of someone more prejudice, besides maybe ny own father, who is mixed, and literallt hates anyone who isnt white.
