I didn't know they did pap smears at 21 now where I live. Why is That?

My doctor told me since im 19 they won't do it till 21 now. Used to be 18.

It actually used to be as soon as you became sexually active, but they changed it because they've found that things that are discovered in Pap smears at younger ages tend to work themselves out and don't necessarily need medical treatment. That's why they moved up the age to 21
