Skyla vs. Mirena??

Question

I'm scheduled to go get an IUD on Friday. They have me down to get mirena but I've asked for skyla. I've never had children and I feel uncomfortable getting the mirena because it's bigger. I'm also very nervous about the pain.

I love my Mirena. The pain is not pleasant but it goes away quickly. VERY WORTH IT. Get one!!!!

I've never had children. Got my first IUD at 17 (Mirena) and I just got my second one yesterday. I'm 22, never had kids and I kept Mirena in for 5 years. I have nothing but positive things to say about it. I just got another Mirena yesterday, and I highly recommend this one over any other IUD.

I'm 19, have no children and I have the Mirena! I've had it for 1 year now and I love it! Aside from the anxious feeling I get about pregnancy every now and then (like I'm going through now. Although, I was worrying about that when I was just on my period). It's your body, your choice! They're basically the same thing except the Skyla is smaller and good for 3 years and the Mirena is good for 5 and is bigger!

Yeah it's recommended for women who have had children. I'm sure they wouldn't pressure you to choose that one. I got Paragard a few weeks ago. It was definitely a little painful. But totally worth it. It just felt like cramping!
