Breastfeeding after Breast surgery

Jessica
Posted this before in first tri & had more ppl wondering same thing, but nobody w experience.  Now that my baby should b here within 10 days or so, really stressing about it. I had a FULL breast lift (nipples cut off & all) & small implants. 9 yrs ago. I breast fed my 2 children for a total of 5 years. I will b devastated if my boobs don't work like they should!! I spoke with a couple lactation consultants & they said the longer since surgery, the better. & my boobs growing during pregnancy & being sore is a good sign -?- A nurse told me that if I breastfed before, chances are I will b able to again.  I do have leaking from my right breast already & can express some fluid. Friend of mine had 2 surgeries, think hers were implants only tho. She COULD nurse, but didn't make ENOUGH. This may have had nothing to do w her surgery at all tho. Seems if they still work at all, they should work! Just praying my milk ducts are all connected in there & can give the best to my precious baby. ANYONE tried nursing after surgery or know someone who did??? Thank u
