baby sleep?

How much does your baby sleep in a 24 hr period? On a good night my 2 month old does 5-7 hours total.. and on a good day a couple hours total for naps... but 50% of the week he has nights where he's up squirming from gas half awake ALL night then is to over tired to nap good during the day... it worries me the amount of sleep he gets, he's Never rested. and it's SO frustrating, anyone else???
