19 weeks - Is it Okay to Sleep on my Back?!

Looking for advice! This is the most comfortable position for me to lay in.

My doctor told me to try not to. Pressure from your uterus can block blood flow to you and baby. Left side is best.

I'm almost 33 weeks and still find myself on my back throughout the night. I always roll back over to my left side but after sleeping on that side for so long I'm sure my body gets uncomfortable and I end up on my back. I do notice when I've been on my back too long because I feel slightly out of breath

I was told when they say don't sleep or lie flat on your back they mean fully flat like you lay when you go to the doctor with no pillows or anything.

I always start sleep on my left side and some mornings I end up on my back. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and find myself of my back - so I move back to my left. I feel that's my body's way of telling me to move.

My dr said once your showing you should no longer be sleeping on your back 😩 I am 19 week +3 with twins and am showing an still find some mornings I wake up on my back, I don't do it on purpose! It is the most comfortable for me too, but they say it's best to sleep on your left side...

Yes it's totally fine. I was at the doctor at my 15 weeks appointment and asked my doc if it's okay and she said it's totally fine. It's won't hurt you or the baby and not to worry. I'm 16+ weeks and still sleep on my back time to time when my hips hurts so I can't sleep on my side and move to my back

When I started my second trimester my doc didn't want me flat on my back. She said to at least put a pillow under me on my right side so I'm at least slightly tilted.
