No vday gift or time! Deal breaker?

My bf didn't get me nothing for vday. He did text me happy Valentine's Day. I do know he worked today and our relationship is still new. But we having been seeing each other on and off for 6 months. He always been busy working. He has 2 jobs at the airport. I also work there. We still have sex but not often because he is always working. He promise me when he let one job go very soon he will have time. Is no gift or spending time should be a big deal on V day?
