Hey ladies if you have ever been sexually assaulted, whether it was in the past or recent, how did you tell your current partner? Let's be open about this I would love to hear your stories and how you cope with these feelings 💖

I just told him straight out  when he asked why was i wierd when it came to being touched or cause I never had a bf because we had been together for almost 2 years and I would never really kiss him or let him just pecks .it would freak me out. 8 years later and this man is now my husband.

My boyfriend actually figured it out on his own but chose not to bring it up. He said he assumed something like that had happened to me because of how I acted. It was difficult to show any physical affection. Took us 10 months to kiss for the first time. For awhile I was very uneasy when we cuddled or if he hugged me from behind. I even had a panic attack the first time he restrained my arms because I was tickling him. The first time I talked to him about it, I cried pretty hard because he was the first to know.

My husband was actually the one who was sexually assulted when he was a kid. When we first met we were both pretty open about everything. He had a hard time telling me at first but we had only known each other a week and he was comfortable enough to let me know. It's not something he struggles with anymore but I was glad I could be there for him when he needed it

My one ex that came out in the middle of an argument because he was mad i never want to cuddle to which i screamed if you were raped you wouldnt wanna cuddle either -not my best moment but i really am not a fan of cuddling. Then my other ex we were talking about my depression and self harm so I figured i mine as well just inform him of anything bad like the abuse or rape in addition to the depression-that was a much calmer conversation though
