Clomid help!

Hey! My husband and I have been TTC since around November. I have had very regular cycles before and after being on BC. My cycle has typically been 29 to 30 days. Then the past 2 cycles I have had 39 day cycles! Ovulating around cd 25. My OB brought up clomid as an option. Has anyone had clomid help shorten their cycle and ovulate earlier? I'm thinking that's why she brought it up. I'm not much for meds but if it's necessary I'll do whatever I need to. Just curious if anyone has had an experience like this.
