Ovulation tests getting lighter 😖😔 any help????

Hi everyone,

We are trying to conceive baby no.2 but my cycles can be so irregular due to my underactive thyroid. Anyway I thought I'd get some ovulation tests to get a better idea of when in my cycle I'm actually ovulating.

So I took one yesterday and the line was dark but I thought it was negative as it wasn't quite as dark as the control line. Took another today expecting it to be darker but it's lighter than the one yesterday!!??

Like I said it's the first time I've ever used these so I'm not fully experienced in how they work, I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on why it was lighter today, and if anyone has any general advice for using them or if anyone has had any success with falling pregnant while using them.

I am really irregular also and I've been doing this for over a year now. I've noticed sometimes when I have had a lot to drink throughout the day that when I test in the afternoon they can seem lighter. I try not to drink too much 4 hours prior to testing so it doesn't dilute the result. I normall test around 11am and 4pm so I can catch it. My fertility nurse has also told me to start testing OPK from my cycle day 8/9 as my cycles are so irregular she thinks I could ovulate either really early or late and I keep missing it! I hope this helps :)

This has happened to me before. The top one definitely is not positive - you may just be having LH fluctuations. Keep testing :)

I posted this same exact question with pics twice today and only one person answered. I also have irrregular cycles so yesterday on cd60 my line was really close to matching but a little lighter. So ppl on here said almost ov. So this morning and a now it's getting so light I can't see it. So I'm taking it as the darker one I was just done ovulating.  So with you id say the dark one you ovulated that day or day before. 
I wish ppl would help.  I see ladies ovulation test on here non stop so I know they are experienced in opk test.
