opk detects pregnancy?

I've read that you can use an opk after ovulation to detect early pregnancy. Has anyone tried this out? I'm 10dpo and no bfp yet, but I've got a faint line on opks for two days. Going to test with actual pregnancy test in the morning agian.

Opk can't differentiate between lh and hcg so it will show positive if your hcg is high. I tested that theory when I first found out I was pregnant and sure enough, my opk test line was darker than the control.

It's not intended to detect hcg. So I wouldn't.
