How to make baby take naps at day?

My baby naps for like 30 min 3 times a day i don't have a schedule should i do one?

You can't really make them nap my son sometimes naps and some days he won't. At first he was rough and barely napped now he's 8 months and we have a schedule he is usually taking his first nap around noon 1pm sometimes he'll take one a little earlier. His absolute last possible nap is 4.

I guess babies sleep cycles are 30-40 minutes long and young ones can't soothe themselves back into another sleep cycle.  I started observing my son and noticed that he'd fuss and start to wake up almost clockwork every nap after 33 minutes or so.  So I've been trying to be there a couple minutes before so I can help Soothe him back to sleep.  I usually give him a pacifier, put a hand on his chest, or lightly shake the bassinet. Sometimes he wakes up a little more and requires some patting and shushing.  And sometimes it doesn't work at all and he wakes up.

That's probably fine depending on the age of your baby. Especially if your baby sleeps well at night.
