super late period

So my period is late, anywhere from 3-8 days. I tested this morning with a digital and it was negative. I had bright pink/reddish spotting after sex Wednesday but nothing since. I keep checking my cervix and I have very VERY lights (barely noticeable) sticky brown/white. Any idea as to what could cause this? I'm more concerned about the blood that has to be coming from my cervix but I haven't started to fully bleed.
