I'm 4 months postpartum Is it too soon to start trying for number two im a little nervous

This depends on you. We started trying for number 2 when our first was 9 months, and got pregnant immediately. They are 18 months apart. The key to having kids close in age is patience. Know yourself. If you aren't a patient person, I really say to wait. I did 2 in diapers for a year, and we did one size snap diapers, and it was seriously no big deal. I also work a full time + career. I have three boys now. A few tips for Moms with kids close in age;

1) get out of the house every day. No joke. Getting out of the house is always a huge task. It's exhausting at best. Do it. Everyone is better behaved and happier with a change of scenery.

2) a great double stroller is an investment. I live in a city. We put 30+ miles on our stroller a week in nice weather. We've had a city select for 4 years now and it still operates like new. It's functional, adjustable, and versatile. Worth every single penny if you walk. Don't skimp on this. Get something that works and is durable

3) don't rush potty training just because you have another child. Potty "training" is a joke. If you wait until the childbis ready, it's seriously no big deal. Don't rush milestones just because you have two kids. Keep your expectations in check.

Nah if that's your thing. I had my first three 2 years apart and after have baby 4 and 5 a year and a half apart I wish they were all closer in age. Baby 6 and baby 7 are going to be 1 and 4 months apart and I'm not upset about this.

If you had an uncomplicated birth, your body is healed after six weeks. 12+ month recommendations are to allow your body to build back nutrients.

My fourth child was conceived when #3 was 4 months old. They are 12 months 26 days apart. It wasn't a tough pregnancy, I was just more tired than in previous pregnancies.

I personally believe it's too soon. But if you can do it then whose to stop you me and my older brother are a little over 1 year apart. .. I wouldn't be able to do because of financial reasons.

It takes a while for your body to completely heal. Also you have a higher risk to miscarry the sooner you get pregnant after pp which would be devastating. I'm not gonna tell you how to live your life of course but I would wait atleat a year or two

Doctors recommend 12-18 months pp before ttc again! Just to be sure your body and uterus is fully healed up and ready to go through the whole process again.

Medically it's recommended to wait a year at least some people have complications when pregnancies are to close together.
