Three in one carseats for infants?

So I have a three in one car seat, does any other mom use these for their infants?

One thing to think about is getting the baby in and out of the car. It'll be easier to get an infant car seat out, vs a convertible which you can't easily take in and out. They're also a lot heavier. 
More than likely you'd have to take your sleeping baby out of the car seat and wake them up, versus being able to carry them in in the infant car seat and not wake them. 
I've also heard that convertibles are harder on their necks in the first few months. 
Our plan is to use an infant car seat until 7-8 months then transfer to our convertible. 
We're not spending a ridiculous amount on the infant car seat. But we are going to spend a good amount on the convertible car seats (2, one for my truck, one for his)

This looks very similar to the one we got. I love it for our toddler. Although, I'd definitely suggest going with the infant carrier until your LO outgrows it..makes life so much easier than jostling your newborn in and out of the seat when you go out.
