menstrual cups?

Question

Just curious who out there usedmenstrual cups? Or do you prefer pads? Tampons? What have you tried and liked and disliked? Currently wondering if I should transition into cups.

I've been using the diva cup for about two years now. Took a while to get used to and I had to cut off the stem. I read somewhere that if it's too long to try turning it inside out and that worked great for me. Later on I found out that the diva is actually one of the longest cups out there so I am going to purchase a shorter one that will fit me a little better. Now that I'm used to using it I absolutely love it. I'll never go back to tampons or pads. One of the best things is that they're good for 12 hours before you need to empty them. They end up being much cheaper than the others in the long run.

I've had an incredible experience with my divacup so far! It was super messy until I got the hang of it, but on my first day I empty it like 3-4 times to avoid leaking during the night.

Pads and tampons caused so many problems with me, I'm grateful that I don't have to use them anymore. But the cup is quite a commitment. Don't get scared off because it's messy and difficult at first. Once you learn it well and your body, it becomes so much easier.

I use the cup, and I know a lot of people have a hard time with it at first, but I've honestly never had a messy or bad experience with it. It took me a couple tries to figure out the best way to put it in for me, because there are a few ways to fold it before insertion, but I think it's amazing. It's so much more comfortable in my opinion than a pad or tampon. When I wear my cup I still put a panty liner in just in case because I'm always a little paranoid I'll leak, but I haven't so far. There are lots of different brands to try, I personally prefer the Athena Cup. For me it's more comfortable, it's cleaner, it's way easier on my wallet, and I love that I have less waste with it, so it's better for the environment. I definitely recommend trying it. Look up different brands and research what will work best with you and your period.

I absolutely HATE my DivaCup, its messy and hard to get off for me. I personally love Playtex tampons and Carefree panty liner duo!  Has never let me down :)

I recently started in my journey with the diva cup. I have a really bad fourth day on my period I mean blood clots don't stop. There is definitely a learning curb. This is my third cycle and I'm just getting the hang of it, I am short and overweight  so I have shorter arms, but when it works it is wonders! I love it I can't wait till I completely figure it out. 😊.

I'm extremely interested in this topic too ✏📖! I've been debating whether or not to try a cup, after using tampons for years. I just feel SOO done w/ them; the constant changing, the mild discomfort, even the cost. But I can't use tampons above super so I'm worried a cup would be way too painful for me😕...

Im thinking about trying it too. I've heard a lot of great things, but also some bad. Might be worth a shot. Better for the environment, your wallet, and apparently lasts longer without leaks. But I've never tried it!
