Are these contractions or just the baby moving? It been flat all morning.

Heartbeat is the top graph and the contractions are shown on the bottom. I don't know if it's the same everywhere but the monitor pad they use to track contractions here is just a pressure pad which picks up on the tightenings in your tummy so it isn't 100% accurate, you can even just push down on it and it reads it as a contraction on the graph. The contractions you can see on mine were particularly strong Braxton hicks, even the doctor was impressed when she felt my tummy during one of them as they were really strong. Don't get yourself worried about it, contractions apparently feel so much different to Braxton hicks, if you can talk through them and breath normally etc then you're not in active labour (according to the antenatal classes I've been to).

No the heartbeat is what is up and down the contraction lines go from 0 to 10 they will look like rounded hills if you start having them and trust me you will know. The jagged lines are the baby they typically have numbera like 70, 80,90,100,110 ect on it
