I'm so interested in hearing anyone's labor and delivery story! I'm currently 7 months pregnant, 17 years old, and this will be my first baby! Did ur labor go anyway like u planned? 💗👶🏽

I was 5cm dilated and 95% effaced for a week before my daughter was due. I felt no contractions until I woke up suddenly at 4am with terrible back pains that came every 2 minutes. Went to the hospital and walked myself up the stairs and to L&D. When I had a contraction, I sat on the floor until it passed. Checked into a room and had my daughter 3 hours later without pain meds or epidural. Pushed twice and she was out. Went exactly how I thought it would (we have a family history of rapid births, ranging 20 minutes to 3 hours).

I had preeclampsia and was induced with pitocin at 37 weeks. Unfortunately, even though my body and baby were not ready for delivery, my health and blood pressure were getting so bad that I could have started having seizures and lifelong problems. I was in labor for almost 20 hours, pushing for one hour. I got the epidural 9 hours in and let me tell you - so worth it and I'll do it next time, too! However, when they broke my water for me, the contraction (which were literally off the charts) were too much for my son and he became distressed with his heart rate dropping down to the 40s. They flipped and flopped me all around, put me on oxygen and finally it went up. This happened twice and I was nearly sent in for an emergency c-section. Before they tried that, they decided to reintroduce fluids and stop the contractions for a couple hours. After that, I was put back on the pitocin and he was born 2 hours later! He was 5lbs10oz, 19in. At now 2 months old he's almost 11lbs!!

My story starts on Nov 1, 2016 at 11pm when my water broke! It wasn't like in the movies where there's a huge puddle! I had just laid down and was falling asleep when I felt a little drizzle. And I knew I hadn't just peed myself so I woke my husband and when I got up I felt another little drizzle but I wanted to be sure so I went to the bathroom to go pee and after standing up I felt the drizzle again. So we went off to Labor and Delivery just to be told it wasn't my water leaking. After 4 tests they finally were able to see that it was! I knew I wasn't crazy! They figured the bag ruptured from the top instead of the bottom so that's why it wasn't showing up blue. ANYWAYS! we got put in a room. I was 3cm dilated. Skip to the next day they check me and I was still at a 3 with no progress in 20 hours! so they were gonna have the dr come in and schedule a cSection. While I was waiting on the doctor I started to feel pressure and the need to push so we called the nurse and he said that there was no need to check me because there had been no progress anyway. So my husband and I insisted and when he checked me I was at a 9!!! They told me it would be a long time before she actually got here but my baby girl was in a hurry to meet everyone and within 30mins she was out! Honestly I was so scared being a first time mommy but it wasn't so bad! Especially having my husband there for support!!

I wanted to go into labor on my own and have an all natural labor and delivery, seeing as I'm terrified of needles. Well I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and had to be induced because they won't let you go full term due to risk of having a huge baby. So I was induced at 38 weeks 4 days. I went in 2.5 cm dialated and 90% effaced. Started pitocin at 7:30. Water broken at 9. Contractions weren't bad at all, until I started back labor around noon!! Ended up caving and got the epidural at 1:30 and was 5cm dialated. Slept for two hours and woke up to be checked, 6cm but my daughters heart rate had started dropping. My contractions were 60-90 seconds long and only 30 seconds apart, and her umbilical cord was being pinched. She didn't have enough time to recover between contractions so they decided c section would be the safest route!! She was born at 4:03pm 6lbs 8oz and 19 inches long.

My labor wasn't hard but it was long. I went in at 6am to be induced, started pitocin at 7, my water broke at 9. And then I got the epidural, the only thing I hated about the epidural was having to lay back the rest of the day after I got it. I didn't have him until 11:02 pm 😁 
It was a very long day but it was worth it. 
When he was born his temp and blood sugar wouldn't stabilize and stay where it needed to be so I only got to see him for a few min then he was taken to the nicu. Luckily he wasn't thee long and was back with me around 5am with strict restrictions on how he had to be bundled up to help his temp stay up. 
We got to home 2 days later happy and healthy ☺️
