Tired of hearing that i'm "entitled"

Let me preface this by saying that i am mixed. My dad's black and my mom's white. As a kid,  i grew up with my mom (my dad was in and out of jail) but i've recently moved in with my dad. His entire family seems to hate me because i'm half white. Really though, i don't look black at all (i've been told before that i have "black hair and black lips" (which is offensive in itself), but that's about it). They tell me that i'm lucky i grew up with my mom because i was raised being "entitled". My mom and i were broke all the time, on government assistance, and could barely afford anything. i don't get how i'm entitled just because i'm half of a certain race. Anyone wanna explain?
