How do you know?

Question

If you prayed to GOD and asked him to save you and forgive you of your sins, how do you know if you've been saved? I've been thinking a lot about this.

Because your life will slowly begin to change for the better. You can feel the Holy Spirit working on your heart. You'll want to do things you've never done before. Like witnessing to people. Telling them what God has blessed you with and wanting to spread the gospel. Just you asking is a good step :) the desire to live for God will continue to gradually grow. "He is the ultimate high" per say. Gods grace is perfect. God bless 😊

Being saved is not a once saved always saved kind of thing. You can gain God's favor and you can lose his favor. 
He tells us that faith without works is dead to him. That's pretty serious. 
We will know on judgement day whether we have been saved or whether we are not welcome. I love the bible. It's so interesting.

Do you believe the Bible to be true? (genuine, not a snarky question). If so :

Romans 10:9-10

"that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

Then you go on living your life for the Lord :) you'll feel a change -more conviction, yet freedom in Christ -from the Holy Spirit. It may not be immediate but you'll know you've been changed!

Jesus Christ's name is what you are missing from this post. Declaring out loud that Jesus Christ is LORD, God in the flesh, that He is God, He died for our sins, and rose again and still lives. Then repent from your sinful ways.  Pray always, about all things and read the word daily

How do you know? :) once you have been saved, it's different feeling! A desire will grow to read His word and talk to Him every single time, there will be a fire burning in your heart to spread the good news! And together with all these, you will have a transformed life. These are not just in one night, it's a gradual process, that you'll encounter God's amazing grace. I pray you'll have this encounter.

Any who seek will find, any who ask will be answered- I know you've prayed but have you read those words and believed them? I suggest reading the book of Matthew, his shows the best representation of asking and finding. I'd say ferverent prayer over what it is you're hoping to have forgiven and soon that weight will be lifted, He'll show you how to move on.

To those who posted on here about make believe- this question was obviously for believers so why are you wasting your time on this one? We don't come make fun of you so lay off!
