detergent for baby clothes?

Does it matter ? Or what's best starting to wash baby's clothes and blankets today

Not unless ur baby is VERY VERY sensitive.
In my opinion,  baby detergent is one expensive item to keep buying and unless ur baby is alergic to normal detergent,  it's quite useless. 
I've been washing my daughter's laundry for the past 5 months (since birth ) with the same detergent I wash my clothes and she's never had one issue with it.
IF u r baby gets a rash or really dry spots all over,  then baby detergent might be a good investment.  Otherwise,  it's just another expensive not needed item

It really only matters if your baby has sensitive skin. With my first I used the all free and clear and then realized it didn't matter when dad accidentally used ours. Now my second did need it her skin was super sensitive and my third doesn't so I uses ours. I prefer their clothes to smell good like mine and the free and clear/dreft cast no smell.  So it really depends but if you are washing ahead if time I'd go with the free and clear just to be safe

I use Tide Free and Clear to wash everything when it's brand new (usually a small bottle of it is all you need) and then once I start doing the laundry, I'll use our regular detergent. Unless baby has skin sensitivity to certain detergents, I find it pretty unnecessary after their first born.

I bought one bottle of baby detergent from babygantics and am using that for when the baby is first born, since their skin is so sensitive and new. After that i plan on just using normal detergent.

I switched to Tide Free and Clean (I think it's called free and gentle now?) for all the laundry in the house. It's the same price as regular Tide and works great, and when baby comes I can just wash everyone's clothes together like I have been.
