Waiting for TSH to drop before TTC?

Hi! I was just wondering for those of you recently diagnosed and starting medication, are you delaying TTC until your TSH level is below 2-2.5 or are you trying now knowing medication is likely to kick in soon? Thanks!

So I had my thyroid removed in 2005. Since then I've been taking synthroid and cytomel. A month before we started TTC my Endo wanted to check my TSH levels bc she wants them between 1-2. My blood work came back at .3 and I was super upset. However she tweaked my dosage and 6 weeks later my levels are 1.3 so she gave me the go ahead to start TTC. Not pregnant yet but praying!!

Hi! My RE never mentioned to me to wait until my TSH levels were below 2.5. I did a medicated cycle in Feb (Letrozole + trigger + iui). I am currently 5 weeks pregnant. My medicine was increased bc my level was 3.56. I am checking again begining of April.

I found out I had hypothyroidism from the blood work we had at the fertility clinic, so I'm taking the medication now and will wait two cycles to have it regulate, Dr wants me below 4 to start ivf, to avoid miscarriage risks.

I'm started synthroid today. We've been TTC for 13 months, we are still "trying" but it's much less tracking because the chances of conceiving right now are low. In 1-3 months I'll really try tracking again, as long as my levels balance out
