Anterior placentas and C-sections?!

Question

I've heard rumors (not to scare anyone) that it can be dangerous to mama to have a c-section with an anterior placenta? Apparently it is because the doctors would be cutting through the placenta to get baby.

Has anyone had this happen and can confirm either way or know if it's true? I'm wondering if I should ask for a last minute ultrasound when the time comes so that the doctors know better where to cut in case of an emergency.

..... Doctors know what they are doing. They have done c sections a million times. Just hope you don't have a very young doctor

I believe the only way you can deliver with an interior placenta is via C-section.
