why do married men cheat?

I been asking myself this question lately but can't seem to grasp my head around the concept. They can have a beautiful family but cheat to mess with other females, not caring about their wife feelings. Just Why?

I wonder this too. I unfortunately grew up with a dad that always cheated on my mom (22 years of marriage) . And my mom being "in love" never left him. I still live with them and they fight a lot because of this. And I honestly think my mom is so dumb for staying, I've told her many times to leave him but she doesn't :/ I love my dad with no doubt but I just hate the way he treats my mom. Growing up with this made it hard for me to be in relationships. I always thought my so would be cheating or something so I would leave them or cheat too. Rn I don't want any relationship just hook ups, fortunately I found a guy whom I've been fwb for almost 2 years. And also living with this actually affected my way in thinking about family. I never want to get married or have kids because I wouldn't want my kids to go through what I went through
