premature labour@ 33+2
Hey everybody! So whilst at work yesterday, I received a call from my partner with news that I can only explain as one of my fears, 'I've had tightenings, you need to come to the hospital, and I've just tested positive for pre-term labour'. 😳
I raced to the hospital and eventually reached it just over an hour later. By then they'd given her a steroid injection to help mature babies lungs and had also given her some medication to help nip the bud on the contractions, 4 tablets to be taken 20 minutes apart at which point we were expecting the contractions to subside... well, they didn't, they have how ever become irregular but haven't totally gone, we were then told, if baby comes, then so be it, still as I type this, contractions no further than 15 mins apart and as little as 2 minutes apart, who else has experienced this and what was their end result? Tests for infection were negative and so no explanation for the pre-term labour.
