anyone else??

Question

I'm 37 weeks 5 days with my 3rd girl. On Wednesday doctor told me I was 2 cm 70% effaced. But I don't think I'm feeling any contractions... anyone going through the same thing.. trying to get an idea how much longer or how to speed things up... baby is looking like 7.6 pounds at 37.2 weeks and scared she'll be huge

I wouldn't be concerned with their estimate of weight. They were over 2lbs with both my first kids. I'm 38.2 with my third child at this point. I have a midwife and she doesn't check dilation until labor starts. Which is good but it would he nice to know. I can't reach my cervics to check myself.. so that's out. I feel like I should be progressing but dilation really has no determination on when labor will come. I'm starting to feel some slight contractions but nothing to get excited about.
