Toothbrushes

So someone commented on my updated belly picture, about how I will need a new one because it's laying on the counter. Maybe I'm an idiot, but why would I need a new one? I have always placed my toothbrush on the counter, usually dangling over the sink till it dries. Always. My bathroom is kept clean. It's kept far away from the toilet. I'm i the only weird one that does this? By keeping it on the counter? The denist has never asked me 'where do you keep your toothbrush?' Heck, I only have had one cavity my whole life. Rarely, and I mean rarely do I get a cold sore thing in my mouth. I get a new one every 4-6 months. Sorry to ask such a weird question. But it's bugging me now. I also need to know that I'm not the only one that does this.
