Sleeping baby

Hi im just wondering if any one can help ive got a 9 month old, luckily shes slept through since day 1, i think shes had about 4 restless nights which luckily daddy took over, but now daddy isnt around and night time is becoming a terror shes screaming constantly, she will fall asleep downstairs but the second she enters her room boom wide awake screaming fit! Only way i can get her to sleep is if i let her cry it out a bit she then rolls over and falls asleep on her side, only problem is i dont like her lying facedown just incase anything happens so im forever worrying and end up turning her over just before my bed time, im just wondering if anyone has had the same issues or if this is normal for a 9 month old? Also what should i do let her sleep on her side/belly or keep going in to roll her onto her back. Help much appreciated, took her 4 hours to get her to sleep on friday after an extra bottle, bum change, bongela and a massive cuddle very nearly gave up and let her sleep in my bed but at the last minute i managed to get her to sleep and put her in her cot. Its a struggle going through that on my own night in night out.
