Stay the night on second date?

I'm going for a second date with a guy I've met a couple weeks ago. He's invited me over so we can go to the cinema together and go to eat. However due to our busy schedules I am only able to meet him after he finishes work and he lives really far from me so I don't know if I'd be able to get home that night. Would it seem bad if I stayed at his house so soon? I don't know what else to do but I'm free to suggestions and opinions...
