Big question need help

So I went in for a second ultrasound today and they still couldn't find the heartbeat and I should be just about 7 weeks and a few days. I had a ultrasound last Monday and they put me around 6 weeks 3days to 6 weeks 5 days. When they did measurements they didn't see much growth and still no heartbeat so they want me to do a d&c or else take a pill. What is your opinion on this because I'm not sure what to think because if it wasn't a viable pregnancy wouldn't I if had bleeding or cramping or even spotting?
