Have you ever celebrated kids birthday before the date for any circumstances?

I'm having a total stress we were supposed to batism our daughter and celebrate her birthday on a certain date. But the church is only english that date. And my husband wants to change the date a week before instead but she wont turn 1 yr til the following week which is the same weekend we wanted to celebrate it . Ahh idk what to do

Yes. We celebrated my oldest's first birthday a week early because my hubby was leaving for 4 months of military training. We often have birthday parties on a weekend where his friends (my friends' kids) are free because we don't have much family around so our friends fill that void.

My husband works every other weekend so we have to plan our kids birthdays or momentous occasions like that around his work schedule... I have had parties/occasions up to two weeks early or two weeks late just based on his work schedule it is very stressful!!! But you can't help the date or what's going on with the church something's are just out of your control :) good luck mama you will get it figured out :) try not to stress too much.

Yes we do it with my step daughter all the time. Her mom doesn't even do the birthday parties in the same month as their bdays (she has more than one kid). We usually celebrate as close as we can if we dont get her on her bday. This year we did have her on her bday so it happened on her bday. But all the other years her mom made it difficult so we just did stuff the weekend after. Her mom does does their bday parties a month later though and then gets mad when we dont pitch in because we already did a bday on our time. Its not really a big deal. I remember doing my bday parties on the weekends not on my actual bday growing up.
