Skipping Period On Birth Control

I've been on the pill for a while now but I wanted to like postpone my period because my boyfriend is coming to visit me and he wants to go out and do a bunch of stuff and I would be getting my period that week he is here and I would really prefer not to. Basically my question is like what do I do to postpone it or whatever and making sure it's not bad for me. I'm still new to this so sorry if I seem like i know nothing but yeah I need some help. The 3 weeks straight of the white pill and then a week of the placebo pills (if that helps with anything) thank you!!
