How long until an egg is fertilised?

I finished my period on Sunday, I have very short cycles so if I was ovulating the next day (Monday) would the egg be fertilised by now? How long does that process take?

Implantation can take even longer to occur because the fertilized egg has to travel to the uterus. And then you won't be able to tell you are pregnant for several days after that at the bare minimum. That's why it's called The Two Week Wait. I would test after your missed period.

you need to educate yourself on this before trying to become pregnant. ask your  GYN. everyone's different depending on your cycle. there's a typical time range. ask your GYN before trying to conceive.

It really just depends on the sperm. But it can take a few days before the sperm reaches the egg.
