Measuring small and spotting but baby has heartbeat?

Question

I should be 6 weeks 6 days but had some brown spotting and went to doctors for scan and only measuring 5 weeks 5 days. The baby did have a heart rate of 157 bpm. I am confident in my ovulation dates, as I got my BFP at 11dpo. Anyone have a similar situation that ended positively? Or time to prepare for the worst?

Thanks for the kid words. Unfortunately my HCG is hardly rising and my progesterone is low so if doesn't look like this is going to be a viable pregnancy. Heartbreaking.

At that early stage they grow at different rates so would not be concerned about its size. He/she has got a heartbeat so it's doing fine right now. Spotting is also normal, any concerns or much blood I'd tell doc. Mild cramps are soooo common too,.

Having a heartbeat is great risk of MC is reduced! Sometimes when they measure tey can be off or baby can grow slow at first but catch up later! Stay positive!

The same thing happened to me. I went in at 6 weeks and 2 days and they told me I was around 5 weeks and 3 days. However when I went in one week later everything seemed to be back on track and I was given my original due date again. I didn't have any spotting. But as long as the baby is progressing and there's no pain, there's no need to worry.

I'm on the same boat. I had a mc in feb which stared with light red spotting and 6 and a half weeks. Had a scan and said everything was ok. Then had more bleeding at 8 weeks and baby was ok. But went for 11 week scan and the baby had stopped growing a couple of days after the 8 weeks scan. But I'm now pregnant again and I'm nearly 7 weeks had brown staining and went for a scan today and seen the baby's heart beat. The midwife said it's nothing to worry about. It if any cramping follows or it turns to red staining deff book in again to see if everything is ok. But I don't see why anything should be wrong if your worried book an early scan to put your mind at ease   Good luck:)
