Tampon pain.

Ok, so I don't usually ask personal​ questions on social media. But here it goes. I love to use Tampons. The hassle is so much less than pads. Plus i feel cleaner and more free. But the majority of the time when i put them in/take them out. Its hurts, like pretty bad. I am a virgin so I think that has something to do with it. But seriously? Tampons are not that thick! What about when I actually do have sex? Is there such a thing as being, like, too tight? Please, I need some tips.
