red eyes

As this is a health page I need a little help, 1 had a chest infect a few weeks ago and last Thursday got told I had a throat infection after it, since Monday my eyes have been red like this and it won't budge I've phone nhs 111 they've said it's nothing to worry about and doesn't sound like an infection or anything because I'm not getting gunk or crust round my eyes  but I'm really starting to worry as I look stoned! I'm a child entertainer and worried about putting my job in jeopardy because I literally look like I've been smoking loads of drugs, can someone else work out what it is? It's driving me crazy!
