Any other teachers pregnant?

Hello fellow teachers! I just found out I am pregnant. Wondering when you all plan on telling or when you told your students??? I know they will be really excited, just don't know when is a good time to break the news. Thanks and hang in there, summer break is almost here!!! 😊

I told my kiddos at 10 weeks because I was so excited. I work at a small private Christian school, so everyone had been praying for hubby and I. The kids were super excited, it was funny the questions that 3 graders had. They even threw me a baby shower, and I brought in all the ultrasound pics. I also kept the kids up to date on what fruit or veggie she was, and what she was growing or developing. I let the kids put hands on my belly to feel her kick. They all felt like big brothers and sisters.

I didn't bother to tell my principal until I was 6 months. You could tell I was pregnant, but I didn't feel like saying anything to him before that. I didn't directly tell my Dept. Chair. I'm not s fan of either.
As for my students, I told them around 15 weeks. I was gaining weight and needing to wear my maternity clothes. They were super excited, clapped for me, and asked lots of questions. It's amusing to hear teenage boys ask about your pregnancy or tell you that you're glowing, then ask if that's the right thing to say to a pregnant woman.

It was hard to hide from my middle schoolers since I had such terrible morning sickness until 18 weeks....and middle schoolers have absolutely no tact and will just blurt things out....loudly...to the entire room....but I did a fun gender reveal with them around Christmas and they loved it.

I had two miscarriages, so I waited until I was 20 weeks. My students have been great. I have until March 31st. It's going to be hard to leave them.
