in desperate need of advice!!!
Okay so I've been having this reoccurring problem with my vaginal health. To start I have to say that I'm not sexually active in any way and never have been. I'm 16 years old.
I've found that for a few month now I've been getting these perpetual rashes on my vagina. At some point once every month I'll have an outbreak where I'll get these rashes on various places on my vagina. They are not bumpy but red and look like the skin has been rubbed raw in that area (which they haven't been). They're in this weird line shape and almost look like paper cuts which they aren't, but that's how they appear. So I'll have these red paper cut looking rashes at different spots, like one by my clitoris, my inner labia, my anus, and the gap between my vaginal entrance & anus. They're scattered randomly in different places each out break. They are very irritating and sometimes will bleed slightly or become itchy.
I'll also usually have more discharge that is white and clumpy, but no weird smells. These rashes will usually heal themselves after a week but they always come back after a few more weeks! I'm getting so frustrated because they seem to occur randomly with nothing to provoke them. I dont use any soaps down there, I just wash thoroughly with water every day so I'm not allergic to anything. I wear mostly cotton underwear and sleep without under wear when I'm not on my period to let the area get air when it can. I do shave the area every few weeks but the outbreaks don't correlate with when I shave so I don't think that's the problem either.
The only thing I can imagine this might be is reoccuring yeast infections because I saw online those rashes are a symptom of yeast infections. I don't know how to treat that though bc when I read about yeast infections it says not to use over the counter products if the problems happen often so I don't want to do more damage on accident.
I know you're all gonna tell me to see a doctor but if I told my mom she probably wouldn't believe me when I say I'm not sexually active and would just ground me. I don't want to go through all the trouble of being grounded for doing nothing and having an awkward doctors appointment just for them to tell me to get more sleep or something else unhelpful.
So I'm asking for advice. What should I do to make this stop happening? Has anyone ever experienced something similar? Sorry this was rlly long but the situation is kind of complicated.
