Right now? The world has always been this awful. I don't even go to Walmart alone.

I'm in Australia and I feel safe 
The only thing that really shocked us was the Lindt cafe thing but that's nothing compared to what goes on in America 
Nothing much goes on here really that you hear about 
Like of course there's break ins and some stabbings and rare shootings and the odd kidnapping but that's everywhere and compared to some places what goes on here is nothing

My husband's job causes our family to get lots of death threats from the criminals he deals with. We live in a safe neighborhood, but our last name is so uncommon that it's not hard to find us. Someone broke into my car and disarmed my alarm the other day.... out of 20 cars in our lot... mine was the only one targeted. He works midnights and I sleep with a gun on the nightstand. But I'm not going to live in fear because that's no way to live.

I feel safe in Canada for the most part- I don't like going out alone at night but I think that's just a smart thing anyways. But when I travel overseas I don't. Flying scares me to death. Too many planes go down and with some experiences I've had travelling I just don't feel safe. Even when I visit family where they live I will only go out with someone else. During the day I don't mind going to a public place with my mum but in the evening I want one of my brothers or my dad with me. I worry about my parents and siblings over there a lot too. But for me I feel safe in North America for the most part.

nope... i stay indoors all the time... Never do i go out rarely, where i live there's a lot of stabbings ...

I love in the bad side of my city and every night i can hear our neighbors fight and across my street is a "trap house" and some apartments that i'm pretty sure not only sell drugs but other things too and the other night i heard some people in the street talk about hurting someone but lately what scares me the most is there is a group of people pretending to sell vacuums and rob and rape people..i just don't feel safe anymore
