Birth control if not having sex or heavy periods?

Question

I'm confused my friend isn't having sex nor does she have heavy periods. And she hasn't  had a boyfriend for over 6 years on top of that she is kinda disabled. So she goes to the doctor to get birth control that she doesn't need. Do you think she should of gotten birth control i don't get it.
On top of that i told her i don't think she needed it. But that is my opinion. What do you all think.

My period was heavy but not concerning to a doctor. However it was horribly painful so I took bc and it helped a lot. I also often skipped my period altogether on the pill. It's her business. Women control their own bodies.

Its a matter of personal preference. I had heavy periods regardless of having birth control or not, but before I went on my cycles were 30-40 days and the periods were 7-10 day long monsters. Birth control made my cycles 24-28 days long and only 2 days of bleeding and bad cramps vs the full 7 plus days. I also got terrible migraines every time my period would come around, and with birthcontrol that's lessened to the 2 days as well. I mean even if she doesn't "need" it right now, she may meet someone further down the line and its just easier to have than to need to go and get it

There's all kinds of reasons to use it. I had extreme pain and mood swings around my periods and bad acne. They were also really irregular and using it for just 2 years have me a normal predictable pattern even after I stopped that made my life way easier. That's why I used it. If she wants to then it's up to her.

I have a friend who has been on BC since she was 14 and she's 19. She's a virgin too. She just is on it because u never know, and it was also for medical reasons. She has also been sexually abused. So u never know.
